Mermaid
Mermaid by @smarle (Staci/Nadia)

Today seems to be the day for old 1998 pics... ^^;;; I drew this mermaid as a gift for a friend of mine. The top of her head looks kinda squashed and her left shoulder looks kinda weird, but it's still a cute design. Her skin was a bit difficult to color, but her hair and fins came out really nicely. I love my green Kodak colored pencils! :D

It's a really cute picture, Nadia! I can see the errors you're talking about, but it doesn't detract from the quality of the picture and I probably wouldn't have noticed had you not pointed them out in your description. The pose is really cute and you did a good job coloring. Good work!

She's really cute! I definetly love the colors--blue skin is really awesome and creative. I can see the issues you were talking about, but like you said, this is way back from 98 and from viewing your earlier work, I can say you've definetly fixed 'em! So keep on drawing!

Your pictures still manage to be cute even when they're not particularly supposed to be, that's inherent in your style I think. I think you're right about the shoulder, but the arms and hands are nicely done, and in the interest of trying out poses, there's always room for mistakes.

You really need to draw more often, I want to see more of your stuuuuuuuuuuuff.
