A mysterious old Blaziken that lives on Mt. Chimney

Okay well I have a long story on how this one was create, so it all started out with this photo

Now anyone who has followed me long enough knows I get easily inspired by things and well that’s what happened here.

Originally I was planning to make a Fakemon that was going to be like a combination of Chansey and cocktrice, which was going to look cute and friendly, but was actually an egg thief. But I kept imagining it having wing arms/claws similar to a Combusken, so then I thought why not make it a regional variant of Blaziken?

So I started making a big fluffy chicken, but that got me thinking ‘Where’ do Torchic even live in the wilds? yes random thought, but stay with me here.

Thanks to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, I have come to the assumption that all starter Pokemon are native to the region they are from, but are just super rare to find. So where in the Hoenn region would you find Torchic? Mt. Chimney of course! why I assume there? because Torchic in the Pokemon V/S DLC Blueberry Academy can only be found in the Polar Biome in a cave.

Now how dose Torchic being found in a cave in the Polar Biome relate to it’s habitat being on Mt. Chimney? well other than Mt. Chimney has tones of caves this Pokemon could make itself at home at, Mt. Chimney may not have always be as active as it is in the modern day. In the past it may have been more dormant and snow could have formed on the mountain.

So with that thought in my mind I designed this fakemon for this colder/cave living environment, making it more robust and fluffier, thus creating Proto-Blaziken. (Reason its not a variant is because I couldn’t think of it having a different typing Fire/Fighting just works for a Pokemon living in a cold location)

So what happened to Proto-Blaziken? well as time has gone by and the Volcano has become more active melting away the ice, this has depleted Torchic’s home environment making it a rare/endangered Pokemon due to habitat loss.

But thanks to human influence it has been 'changed’ to adapt to this new world as the 'modern’ Blaziken we all know and love. (Ignore the darker indication that influence could mean)
