Speed Paint 10

Just painting, and trying to work more filter use into the piece - they add nice textures. Definetly on the unfinished size, but bleh. Does the lower left read a decent focal point?

I think it's probably too lower left to be comfortable, but I'm leaving it now.

Yeah, I think it works as a pretty decent focal point...I read the scale far differently than the reference picture (which you may or may not have been going for).

Do you paint on white? Floodfill in a neutral color before you start, and I think things will go faster for ya.

Yeah, I do the neutral color floodfill thing a lot, it's just that in this picture the fill was that kind of greyish that the whole image has, and I decided to smear some really bright stuff to stand for my sky when I was putting base colors down. Since I didn't do anything more with that area, it kind of stands out... but still. =)
