@Chaos-Mirror: Huh. You know, it didn't really occur to me how those were placed.
Junicorn 2022 #13 - Amethyst by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)
"Amethyst unicorns are among the common breeds of mineral unicorns and, by far, the less shy. As with most mineral unicorns, their conception underground leaves their appearance quite alien compared to mammalian unicorns. Amethyst unicorns have found an interesting niche in both ancient and modern society. They have an unusual sense for alcoholic intoxication and respond to it rather reasonably. Not that they are sensitive to alcohol itself, mind you; just like most mineral unicorns, amethyst unicorns have an anatomy which nullifies alcohol's effects. They can detect when a person is drunk and will actually take steps to ensure their safety. First, amethyst unicorns are among the few species which will willingly take a full-grown human onto their backs, sometimes even finding ways to haul unconscious drunks onto themselves. Through what seems to be instinct, they will then take the intoxicated human to their home or what they perceive to be their home. At the same time they are transporting a human, their bare skin begins secreting a chemical compound which, when absorbed through a human's skin, begins to break down ethanol in the bloodstream and allows the body to metabolize ethanol faster, reducing the effects of intoxication and its aftereffects (namely hangovers). Amethyst unicorns have been known to travel for miles to return a person to their doorstep, and many small town bars keep food out for amethyst unicorns to entice them to stay close, especially if there is no local taxi service or public transit.
Mostly a rush job. Not one of my best, but I feel I've gotten faster about putting together a horse shape.
Little crystal 'wings' too! ^^ So cute!
