Running from the Irkens by @2001_Dibs (Emerald Scythe)

This is from a fanfic I haven't posted anywhere. Dib is leader of a planet called Fali, which is being invaded by Irk, and he's been driven from his home after the Irkens blew it up.

The Irken girl who's on the tree is Young Kiana, who is actually an Irken/human/Falen hybrid, and though Zim created her, she has renounced Irken citizenship and wants Dib to adopt her.

This I did in early 2003. If you want to check out the series to which this belongs, the first story is The Uncertainty Factor, though it might be posted under The Sleep Factor. In any case, it would be by Invader Mel. Young Kiana doesn't appear until the second one, though.

I'd like to read any observations regarding compositionally how it succeeds or fails. I'm delving a bit into my past, and I'd like an understanding of the big picture. I sure love word play, even if it's horrible.
