I agree with sanne about the soft usage of colors. Your coloring skills are awesome. I especially like how you colored the skin and sleeves of the kimono. The short backstory is a nice touch as well. =) Nice job all around!

Sen is a character from my project "A Different Road." She's a sucessful business woman in a culture which does not allow women to be heads of households or conduct business. She has a cheerful and happy smile and while she may be bitter over some issues, she's rather careful to keep her personlitly light hearted, she's also quite clumbsy.
I absolutely love the soft usage of colours here. Very nice kimono. (I'm assuming it is one, anyway.)
The little blush on her cheeks really adds to the general feel. Very nicely done.
I like how the background doesn't distract from the character.
