Sky King
Sky King by @Jinx (Catherine Fitzsimmons)

Playing around with clay, I made this. The tail was originally more curved, but it drooped during initial baking and then broke off when I tried to fix it halfway through. Made with Sculpey III, modeling paint, Pilot marker, and Future floor polish. The top-down photo displays the colors most accurately.

I really like it. I wish I could do stuff with clay too :D His snout looks a bit too squarish tho

Thanks for the comment. This piece really wasn't that difficult to do. For the body and tail I just rolled a strip of clay on the table and shaped appropriately, and most of the accents were made by rolling the clay flat and cutting out shapes with an X-acto knife. The squarish snout was actually intended, as I meant for this to be more of an eastern dragon, though I do realize it lacks a lot of the detail that really defines an eastern dragon. Thanks again.

I like him just the way he is. Maybe the start of a series???

Thanks for the comment. I hadn't intended this to be the start of a series, but I sure had fun making him. Maybe I will do more in the future.
