God Help the Outcasts, chapter 2's scene. Cloud and Seph during one of the few times they can just relax during the story. Cloud was injured and Seph had come in to talk to him. Eventually he ended up sitting on the edge of the bed, displaying how at ease he and Cloud have become around each other.
I realized a terrible mistake in the inked version, in that Cloud somehow looked broader than Seph. headdesk. Hence, I tried to move the quilt over further. This resulted in the line on Cloud's arm you see here. We can pretend it's a muscle line, yes? And he still looks perhaps a bit too broad, but let's pretend that his shirt has pulled away from his body and makes it look that way. XD; Or we wouldn't have to pretend, since shirts can do that....
I don't know why Cloud is wearing a short sleeve shirt, either. That's the way the plunnie came.
And I am adoring Seph's wings, and the quilt hanging over the edge of the bed frame. Those are my favorite parts, I think.
Ye know, you never hear anyone talk about how humanoid creatures with wings lie on their backs...you'd think it'd be especially painful to lie on top of wings. It probably requires a really floofy mattress, or something. [/musing]
It's entirely plausible that it's a really baggy shirt. Who'd want to relax in something clingy and Spandex, anyway? XD And the blanket's probably on the thicker side, too. I wouldn't have even noticed the line on Cloud's arm if you hadn't mentioned it...and those sorts of things are a piece of cake to airbrush out, anyway.
I like the texture of Cloud's hair in this one, and I really like the feathers...especially the lower couple of rows in the more detailed wings. Those feathers look especially realistic, and I really like the sweep of the wing on the left. Er, our left, not his.
