Under the Glass Moon Efreet
Under the Glass Moon Efreet by @bourgogne (Arlea Rae Rashka)

A realistic rendering of the character Efreet from the Korean manwah,I think thats how you spell it, (which is akin to the Japanese manga.) called 'Under the Glass Moon' by Ko Ya-Seong. (I highly recomend this series to anyone that has even a little background in jrock and/or anime, some parodies are present ^________^)Efreet is a feisty fire spirit. ^0^ All done in PS6 photo reference used for facial features.

I love this manga series and I love Efreet. XD I've been meaning to do some fanart for it too... Any idea where I can find color reference pictures of the characters? ^^;

The only actual constructive critisism I can give you is to make the edges of the flowers and lines in his hair (and possibly elsewhere too) a little more crisp. Like.. the hair on the far right, between all those pretty beads... they have distinct sections to them and don't moosh all together... I hope I'm at least somewhat understandable. ^^; A few 'fly away' hairs would also be nice. :)

Anyway, very lovely! Going to check out the rest of your gallery now. :)

I can't believe I actually found a few people who actaully even KNOW of UTGM!!!! ^0^ I"ve been saved! ah, and thankyou very much for the constructive criticism. Its always incredibly helpful cause you tend to fall in love with what you've done, -because- you've done it and not really notice the things that could be made better. Arigatou. and no, I"m sorry, I don't know of even -one- UTGM website.. if you ever do find one (especailly if it has color pics diesso pretty I'm sure*) let me know! ^0^

Lovely colors! I agree with Klawzie; the hard edges make it look a bit like helmet hair; it's okay to soften/break up the edges a bit on hair, if you're going for a natural effect. Rebekahlynn.com has a nice tutorial that may help.

Glad to see you here!

I LOVE UNDER THE GLASS MOON!!! The second one was even better (don't worry, Luka is just in denial. And I don't mean the river. :) This is really fabulous art of Ifreet, he looks gorgeous. I really want to do UTGM fanart someday, it's cool to see that there are other fans on Side 7 who will appreciate it! I am really impressed with the coloring here, and the semi-realistic way you drew his face is just fabulous. Please keep up the great work. I'm gonna be your devoted fan. :)
