@fragmented_imagination: Thanks! Yes it's the surrounding area reflected in his shades.

Fanart/concept thing I did quite a while ago. I really enjoyed the Deus Ex games and wondered what JC Denton might look like in a modern remake of the original game, this is the result.

I must be one of the ten people on the planet that never actually played Deus Ex (though I did get Invisible War as a freebie with a graphics card—that may or may not say a lot about its shelf-life :P ) but I'm well aware of its legacy. For a Y2K release, it's incredible how expansive the gameplay is, and as per Ross Scott, how it's one of the handful of stories that does a global conspiracy "right". (cough cough Kojima) Given the hoops people have to go through to get it playable on modern systems, I'm surprised the nostalgia carousel hasn't tagged it for a remaster.
So yeah, instant headcanon. :B
@Thorvald: Nice it gets you thinking and yeah, Invisible War was the low point of the series, it became better again after that lol
@EyeballEarth: Invisible War's failure did make Deus Ex' IP sold to Square Enix
@N0-11: Nice to hear it made an impression.
This is awesome! The detail is amazing, especially the lines and the highlights on the jacket and chest plate. And is that a shoreline reflected in his glasses?
