Cylinder Assignment
Cylinder Assignment by @GreatRuler (Great Ruler)

This was a school assignment, everyone had to shade a cylinder. This was my end result. You had to use a technique called "press-release" on the cylinder drawing, which basically means you can't blend any of the different values (dark-to-light grays), which is much harder to do, because it has to look smooth without blending.

Oh, wow. Shading without blending? It's rather difficult. But it's a great exercise! I really like the darkest values in this one, and you made good contrasts on the face of the cylinder as it got lighter in tone. You did wonderfully!
