This is a lovely piece, with beautiful subject matter and a nice composition. The shading is really well done in some areas, but is rather lacking in others. For example, the blue blanket? draped across the chair has lovely folds, same with her skirt and the grass. The trees are drawn nicely as well. But her skin seems to be a little too much one shade. I'm guessing you used colored pencils, though? So that is completely forgiveable--it's tough to shade small areas with those. Also, the pose is confusing. It almost seems like foreshortening--her shoulders are so wide, but her arms are thin, but her head is small, so it's not quite that. Don't be afraid to compress the waist, even if it is not quite realistic. Otherwise, anatomy seems to be slightly off. I'm impressed with her gentle expression, and that lovely hair! Gorgeous. The chair is very nice as well, and I love her orb. She reminds me of a faery queen, sitting there so gracefully. Keep working with colored pencilness--I think you'd be great at watercolor pencils, as well. Ever try them? Ah--and you have an excellent eye for backgrounds, such as the forest look. :) Keep that up!
