Awwww again. Marik is falling asleep in Ishizu's arms and she's about to bring him closer to her. Gotta luv those Ishtars ^__^ This was my first attempt at drawing Ishizu's second outfit from the show. Didn't come out too badly ^^ I left the stone thingie off her forehead. It's easier to draw her when I don't havta worry about it X3

This is very sweet. The pose is nicely done, and there's a nice, calm feeling to the picture.

Oi, that stone thing is hard to draw properly unless you have either a really fine tipped pen or are drawing the picture really huge...I always wonder about that ornament....I used to think it was attached to her headdress, but it isn't...maybe it's...glued on somehow? At any rate, she'd probably leave it off if she was relaxing, as she is in this picture. ^^;

Thanks for the comment ^^ I love my Ishtars. XD

Hmm, yes, it's a puzzle about that ornament. I also thought maybe it was embedded, until Mojobubbles pointed out that she doesn't wear it when she's sleeping. So . . . that's a very good question. Maybe there's something in Egyptian culture that would explain how it works. XD

Out of a combination of boredom and nagging curiosity, I tried to look it up ^^;: the closest thing I could find to Isis' ornament is a bindi, an ornament worn between the eyes, over the Ajna chakra/spiritual eye/Third Eye, considered a major nerve of the body in ancient times. I can't seem to find anything on ancient bindis, as I'd assume the Tombkeeping clans would stick to tradition (my guess would be some kind sap or resin), but the modern forms are held on with a synthetic adhesive, and sometimes eyelash glue. I guess it's possible that Isis picked up a modern one, as she didn't wear one underground, and it could be held on with adhesive...maybe...

Hm. I've been out of class too long. I'm doing research for fun. XD
