An adaptation of the “Marvel Nemesis: The Imperfects” comic series.
2,000 years ago An alien scientist named Doctor Eggman (Niles van Roekel) performs bizarre scientific experiments, suddenly, a secondary ship docks with his science vessel. One of the crew members alerts Doctor Eggman to the fact that an aggressive alien species from the other ship has infiltrated his. He continues his injection of a green serum into a lizard-like test subject and watches it transform into a larger, stronger creature then quickly melt. As they flee from the aggressive species, Eggman injects one of his own men with his experimental serum, and sends the transformed individual after the alien. Eggman seals the two creatures off as they die and continues with his research. He finds a suitable planet to carry out the next stage of his experiment – Earth.
2,000 years later, Ed (The Thing) is walking through New York City when he finds a group of children making fun of him. He goes over to them and gives them a heart-to-heart concerning the finer points of being a celebrity superhero. Following the conversation, he begins to walk home when he notices a strange light in the sky. The light grows brighter and Ed disappears. Twelve blocks away Mordecai (Wolverine) and Marie Kanker (Elektra) are fighting (Mordecai is losing). At the point when they both attempted to land the final blow they got abducted. Later, Ed then wakes up to the sound of Ben 10’s (Spider-Man) voice. He realizes that Marie and Mordecai are also captured. Mordecai immediately warns them of an unknown drug attempting to corrupt them. All but Marie begins to fight the drug... all of them become corrupted.
Transformed into perfect fighting machines and set against each other in Eggman’s secret arena, the heroes launch into berserker-style battle with each other. Even Ben 10 and Eddy (Human Torch) are prepared to fight to the death, until Ben begins to reject the extract, freeing himself from the seductive cybernetic material's power. As the other heroes free themselves, some have to have it forced off-- leaving a missed feeling towards it. Eggman, in search of a new subject, kidnaps others he believes will more willingly accept the extract--and his leadership. Among them is convict Engineer from Team Fortress 2 (Johnny Ohm), severely injured Maria Petrova and scientist Ashi (Reiko Kurokaki).
