@BadKarma: yes absolutely! I'm really glad that's a rule here, it's honestly such a relief to at least have a few spaces where that's the case.

this was a vent art I did about the ever-spreading plague of AI scraping and generative content. x'D I've been struggling to gain traction online with my art for around five years now, only receiving high interaction on tumblr (and nowhere else really) and then only when a popular friend of mine reblogged my art to his own blog.
so then for AI garbage to come along and flood every artistic platform and further drown out my efforts has been thoroughly exhausting. <'D did this drawing to sum up my emotions on the subject. mainly because I kinda feel myself giving up lol

Now I'm a middling cartoonist at best and I long gave up notions that I could leverage it for a business, but the two things that have always astounded me are a) how many good artists are out there, and b) how pitifully they're paid, if at all. Every time I hear how the latest UBI pilot project was shelved after nothing but good news, I blow a vein thinking how it would be an absolute godsend to the creative-types.
On a slightly more positive note, a gravestone down a cross-sectioned deep trench reminds me of the Worms games. :p

and to your other point yes! :D I didn't draw inspiration from Worms directly but I definitely started the drawing with "I want to do a cool cross-section" as my motivation haha

@fragmented_imagination: yes it's really a huge plus! I've seen a couple other platforms take a stance against generative A.I. but they're few and far between, so major props to BadKarma for that and to the side7 community for supporting that sort of thing as a userbase.
I feel you on this one. It's part of why Side 7 doesn't allow AI "art". It's hard enough already to get recognized and earn a following for your artistic efforts.
