@ragukokarn: Besides the sectarian blocs, the other crowd B*zzly's drama attracted like an electromagnet was the wingnut conspiracists—I've seen people claiming completely straight-faced that the whole thing was a psy-op by DeviantArt to discredit grassroots challengers.
But yeah, I'm only half-joking when I say that maybe the real Buzzly.art was the friends we made along the way: @MeatchCleaver was originally a follower who became the vector to a network of new friends back on DeviantArt; @EyeballEarth and I got acquainted via the fan-cum-drama group on dA, and his journal is what led me here. It goes to show, it's always darkest before the dawn...
Huh. I was under the impression not having a platform to socialize and share art on was a bad thing.
All the more I discover what I have been """"missing"""" it seems like staring into my ceiling for 3 years waiting for something to come along wasn't all that bad.
It is pretty sad for sure. Just reading about it and understanding what happened in hind sight makes me feel like there were some truly dark times for a lot of people just wanting a good space.
I guess there is a silver lining here. We're somewhere else now.
