The backgrounds of this series are supposed to be as simple as they can be to set scenery without actually providing a specific setting to the focus of the picture, the catgirl. I couldn't get too vague in this picture, however, or else you wouldn't even have much of an idea of scenery, which is why the edges are blurred as they are. I'm not quite sure what to do to balance the two out so it doesn't look awkward, though I'm thinking toning down the colors in the background a little might help. If you have any other suggestions to improve that, I'd love to hear 'em.

Excellent cel-style coloring, nice and clean, plus textures on walls and table... some of the best in that style I've seen all day. The doorframe behind her shouldn't be quite so blurry: if she's in focus, it's close enough to her that it should be in focus too.
