Well, the mirage happened on top of hills too, so that works as well. hehe, thanks.

Something I drew on Oekaki Central. CAn't be stuffed writing another comment so-
Now, what is this? Well, recently (okay, yesterday) I got home from a trip across Australia. It's a long drive. Three long days, or four not-quite-so-long ones. That's if you drive all that time and don't stop to see everything interesting. Anyway, part of the trip is to go across the Nullabor (meaning, literally, no trees). If you look ahead, it's dead straight, and the mirage(I hope I spelt that right...) shows you the road disappearing into the sky. And yes, it really looks like that. I saw it for about two days straight.
So, to wrap this up, this is surreal drawing of the Nullabor (well... just before/after the Nullabor, since I felt like adding a tree) that I saw with my own eyes. Boo-yah.

Oh neat. I like the textures of this piece and I love the way you depicted the mirage before it fades into the sky. It's a really neat effect. The only problem is because of the perspective and lines on the road, you don't get much of a sense of distance, and though I don't doubt what you saw, the wide area where the road meets the horizon looks less like the horizon and more of the top of a hill. But it's cool stuff otherwise. Again, I love the mirage effect.
