Created in an unknown place, some of the greatest warriors, mages and scientist came together in the attempts of forging a perfect life-form.

The result was Natha, created through genetic engineering and magical development, Natha was a fully formed dragon with amazing strength, magic and unrivalled intelligence. However, his creators found Natha to be overwhelming and were fearful of his powers. Thinking of their safety, they fled from their secluded plane and cut off all portals so that Natha could not follow.

Left alone for countless years, Natha only ever wanted company, the only solice he found was in the machines he had been left with. He found that he could command the machines and contol them. With the technology he had been abandoned with, the was able to create copies of himself. Different 'factions' were created and they all dwelled with him in his prison. (Except one who stumbled upon a stray portal and was sent elsewhere... this one was known as Zed.)

Although he was now surrounded by others, they had not minds of their own, so they did not make good company. He grew more and more bitter about those who had abandoned him, and swore that one day he would do to them what they had done to him.

But Natha now had a new goal, he knew one of his had escaped, and using the same machines that had trapped him there, he was able to develop a system that opened portals all over the multiverse.

His search eventually led him to the land of the Civic hall, where his scouts had told him that they had found Zed. But he was not alone. Zed had bonded with another known as Dragoncat. This enraged Natha and sent out a team to bring him back.

Zed was snatched away and carried across the sky, his friends gave chase, bringing the kidnapper down. But when they searched the area, both Zed and his taker were gone.

When Zed awoke, Natha was there to comfort him. As Zed had lived among others, he had his own mind and Natha was happy to spend time with him. He was detrmined to make sure Zed would stay with him and not leave him alone again.

Zed's trust for Natha grew, and he seemed to remember Dragoncat less and less, till he turned up in Natha's realm to rescue him. Natha felt such pain when Zed was taken away, but then realised when he saw how they were relieved to be united, that he had done to them what had been done to him.

Natha did not realise the pain he had caused, and still did not understand, for he had no knowledge of 'feelings'. Zed offered Natha a home with him and his adopted family. Leaving the others behind, Natha agreed and was happy to have a family of his own.
