Born to a garou father and a wolf mother, Midnight is one of two children. His twin sister Blaze, tends to be more on the compassionite side, where he could careless about compassion, or love for that matter.

Growing up under the care of Wolf Feather, he learned a lot about the ways of a garou. But it wasn't until recently that he has begun to learn of his dark side (which is what made Blaze go crazy). His only problem is, he can't fully control it like his sister can.

After his adopted mother's was murdered by his half brother, Kane. He began to merge with his dark half, making it much easier to control its powers. But it has also began to change him, especially after the death of his twin sister.
