DYOS 10.5: Plans Within Plans

choxorn meets Kuraki
choxorn meets Kuraki by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 30th submission to DYOS X.ii. [link]

It took me almost a month to work through Hannibal's and choxorn's conversations. This was one of the instances where I'd already scripted everything, but for whatever reason I couldn't work up the motivation to actually draw the page. Part of it was probably the fact that I hadn't had practice sketching either Kuraki or Hannibal, and that trepidation was holding me back (paradoxically, a trepidation I could only overcome by drawing).

Panels with a slightly darker hue are from sketches provided to choxorn; he had been given most of the script and originally he was aiming to do it, but since transitioning to Gmod, his productivity nosedived. Not wanting to see my work go to waste, and also looking for any shortcut I could, I managed to work them in.

The keyword of this comic is hands: they're not always perfect, but they're certainly more detailed than anything from prior sketches.

The body language of the hands added a lot! The shading and detail is something I’m still figuring out, it turned out nicely! :0 The cookie hand off got me xD

@bobambee: Thorvald RL Deeplore: I pulled that scene from a character my expat friend played on stage. :^D

But yeah, hands are a royal pain. I'm still astounded chox's turned out as well as they did.
