I've told my colleagues on various occasions I shoulda been a writer. Here I actually am.

I was so fed up with how slow these were being published that I opted for one of the most brutal shortcuts of all time. The conversations were originally separate and had to be tweaked somewhat for this, but running them parallel not only saved me a lot of time (and cut down some redundancy), it also emphasizes the convergence of their separate lines of inquiry: it's a multifaceted riddle that takes more than one mind to solve.

Because the four panels were drawn as stand-alone illustrations, they allowed for scale and detail I normally wouldn't invest. I'm particularly happy with choxorn's shading.
