Grievous Harm
Grievous Harm by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 57th submission to DYOS X. [link]

It's funny 'cuz guess who raids Helghan in Part II? :B

Back in DYOS X, before the 2010 meltdown led me to assert my own creative outlook with greater confidence, I was a self-confessed @GenMarshall fanboy. Now, I wasn't totally blind to his shortcomings, but I was so enamoured that this veteran heavyweight deigned to seek me out for collaboration that I regularly subordinated myself to his instructions. Case in point is this comic, which aside from a few interjections of my own was done verbatim from a script he'd written but that I drew due to him being busy at the time.

Maybe it was simple ignorance, maybe it was working in the centre of that fleet-footed zeitgeist that eschewed heavy prose, but whatever the reason I copied the script without really thinking about it. Looking back on it now, the staccato pace of the conversation really grates on me; if I did it today, virtually the entire dialogue would be revised.
