Later in the month, with the scavenger hunt having reached a stalemate, SuBi returned, revealing the prize to have been posted on eBay. The Intergalactic Space Penguins were the leading bidders at some exorbitant amount, precisely what I forgot. What I didn't realize is that their bid had been adjusted for currency value (SuBi, being Canadian, was likely using CND); so I was actually outbidding considerably higher than this comic suggests.

Nobody else bid, so I ended up winning. It was, without a doubt, the most money ever paid for a can of spam.

When asked what would have been a winning pun, SuBi replied with the following: "A baby seal walks into a club."
