IOT games seem to be cursed with at least one player who manages to piss everyone off either through self-aggrandizement, unceasing aggression, and/or general contempt for decorum. Until IOT4, Mathalamus was our designated pariah; it's not that he actually flouted the rules so much as flaunted himself as somehow intrinsically superior to everyone else, and indeed he was prone to folding whenever the tides turned against him.

As history would demonstrate, Mathalamus was far from the worst offender, and actually improved his gaming to a fair extent since.
