@fragmented_imagination: So way back in the previous story, one of the regular contributors made a joke that spun into its own subplot. Unfortunately for Stylesrj, I'd been on a bit of a legal bender recently and seized the opportunity to flex my knowledge.

We'd originally been planning to do a proper collaboration, but RJ was attention-deficit at best, and when I presented him some template sketch poses for prospective comics, he told me point-blank he was no longer interested. "I will have my trial" subsequently became something of a running gag, and he was finally arrested at the end of XI—the retrial occurs off-screen and leaves him bankrupt at the start of DYOS XII.

But I'm nothing if not stubborn, and as I've told several people, I intend to give the episode its fair go one day.
