My tenth submission to DYOS VIII.

And so begins the Silent War between me and Captain2: mostly cold, sometimes hot, but always ridiculous. Remember, Canada: you shot first.

I knew at some point I intended to bring Locke back; the paranoia receives a nod early in DYOS XI, but while he technically cameos, most of my plans for that thread wound up shelved and he only finally returned (for an actually plot-critical role) in At Plot's End. The giant scared eyes I probably cribbed from Bruno the Bandit; foxes, amirite? ;p

The rest of this page is exactly what it says on the tin. It's not clever, and the Juhziz segment drags on for way too long, but this probably served as practice for the arrangements in what was to follow—though how making Generals machinomics buys me time to make other Generals machinomics is anyone's guess.

Since Captain never provided his own translation, the billboard reads: "Victory for the Captain! In Soviet Russia, Captain is the leader".
