Klimt Kimono
Klimt Kimono by @Hippy_of_Doom (Sabrina A Thomas)

Klimt was influenced by the Japanese Ukiyo-e painters who used a lot of gold leaf and pattern, and Klimt's work inspired me to do this. I always liked how he had delicately shaded faces smothered in strong pattern and thought having a geisha in a gold kimono would create a similar effect. Reference image was another photograph by Paolo Roversi of Gong Li, this time without her geisha make up. I think I accidentally made her look Japanese, and found it hard to get her skin tone right. Overall, I am pleased with it.

I used: - Lyra Rembrandt colour pencils - Lyra Rembrant Splender pencil - 8B Mars Lumograph pencil - A vertical half of A4 paper
