My other and I are both hopelessly addicted to sci-fi/fantasy books, so one day were were discussing Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials books, were a person's spirit is expressed as a physical animal, usually the opposite sex of the person. I asked my other what his daemon would be, and he said a fox vixen, so I drew one up for him. Orginally, my daemon a squirrel, was also in the picture, but didn't turn out so well. I guess I'm just best at drawing canids.
