Devotion by @Trezce (Lev)
I spent way more time in this illustration than I expected 😅
Warning, long explanation ahead.
These are my characters from my personal comic projects. In the left back there is the god of humans Dio (also known as Humn in other cultures) and in the back right there's the Demigod of water, Dio's son and king of the ocean, Moisés. In the middle a devoted human follower of these two, a sailor, professor, teacher and also war veteran who served in in the navy, Herman Muller. Before his time in the Navy he already was a follower of Dio along with his family, (he and his family refuse to call him Humn) but after the war he became a strong follower of Moisés, since he is certain that Moisés protected him during the battles in the sea and helped the ship that took him home make a safe return.
Truth is these divinities never cared for him and he is alive because Herman was an excellent soldier good at survival added with luck. Though this changed after his constant night rituals, wich consists in Herman cutting his arms and spill his blood in a golden cup with sea water, lightning a dark musk incense and five candles on a black candelabra that represents Dio and his four children on his home made altar and pray, placing his arms in the way that recreates Dio's symbol. From then on, they noticed Herman and started to give him bless him, making Herman's life successful, easier and with better luck. Herman has been able to listen to them and see them when he performs his rituals, but in return he granted them his soul, which is not a good idea, but nobody can make him change his mind at this point.
