Carlton Television (1988) by @WestKnightTV (West Knight)
Into their second decade of broadcasting, Carlton wasn't just the photo processing upstart anymore: Aside from the London TV business, they also had a foothold in satellite broadcasting (under Skyscan), pan-European video facilities and shares in Central, when ACC was leaving the space.
With all that happening behind-the-screen, a new corporate identity was needed to tie all the businesses together. Hence born the 'pedals' - which were actually splashes of paint but was animated like one in the capital. Carlton TELEVISION, in particular, received a fresh, classier look, replacing the outgoing C mark.
Based on the actual symbol used in the production business.
