I may have gone overboard with the riddles toward the end of this story, but there's nothing more delectable than a good prophecy. The Gem mythos received a significant overhaul in Part II, although this is vague enough that it's not technically contradicted, and maintains that lord_joakim was a special choice. Although the legend is no longer so important in how it pertains to Dune, it still fits within the larger conspiratorial picture that carries over into the sequel story.

This was the start of using a WH40K mod for OFP that continued throughout the stay on Arrakis. It worked shockingly well to depict House Corrino's forces.
