Bark and Brambles - inked version by @zenphoenixa (Annabel Lee)

It’s been a long time since I uploaded the inked version of a pic, but since I felt that the lineart of this pic was chaotic enough to be a deviation (and not to mention it’s so horrifying busy that I don’t know how I’m going to be patient enough to colour it), I thought I might as well... =P

Speaking of a long time, it’s been more than a year since I drew any of my original humanoid characters, although technically this pic has been sitting around ever since September or October! Late late late On the left is my main human character, Cal, while on the right is his rival Taliana. Taliana hasn’t changed at all since I last drew her, but Cal has gone through a big makeover which I hope to show in this pic when it’s completed – when it is, I’ll be putting up a big explanation about the second storyline I have in my head but thankfully I can spare you all from that rambling for now! ;) All you need to know at the moment is that Cal is blind and his season is Autumn, while Taliana is a rival to his position in my story and is represented by the season of Winter. There’re actually seven more characters in this storyline – some of you may have already seen them in my gallery while another is going to make her appearance in my next submission… bah, I should do a collage or something. XP

Since this is the line art, I’ll be open to any suggestions any of you might have on how I should go about the colouring process – the only thing I’m fairly certain about is that the light source will be coming from the gap at the top of the pic. I’m also aware that there’s a certain uneven look to the pic, which is probably because there’s a dividing line carving the pic into two and it looks as though Taliana is being pushed out of the pic altogether – I’m hoping that colouring will even up the image. Shakes fist Oh yes, and I’m planning to ink the shadows, just like I’ve been doing in my past couple of submissions. Anyway, I can’t say when the pic will be completed but it might be safe to say that it’ll be done before my holidays are over, if I don’t slack off too much! ^^; Over and out peoples, my fingers are tired from all this typing… @__@
