Scooby Doom: Infernape Man

So I turned the Ape Man into Infernape Man! or alternate name Dark Infernape.

The reason I chose Infernape over Rillaboom was because A) The Ape Man story mentions the mansion being burnt down and that's much easier to do with an Infernape variant and B) While Rillaboom could easy fit the Ape Man design fine, it would just look like an off colour Rillaboom or maybe be considered a Dark/Shadow Version and I wanted the Villain to be more of a Cryptid Pokemon, so I decide to go with Infernape and create and alternate evolution for it!

Dex: According to the legend, the Infernape Man burnt down the old mansion.

Their are two alternate stories for the 'Legend of the Infernape Man' which are strongly debated, the first says that Infernape Man origin is that it had been a pet Chimchar of the family that owned the mansion, it was horridly treated by its owners to the point one day it evolved and burnt down the mansion in its anger/rage.

Alternate legend has that Infernape Man was once a human, but was cursed and transformed into Pokemon like creature, by the residents of the mansion, in his anger and rage of what had been done to him, he destroyed the place.

Both stories do not have an answer to what happened to the the family that caused this creature to exist, either they fled or died in the fire it is unknown, but both story's have that Infernape Man escaped the blaze and still roams the mountain side till this day.

While Infernape Man appears to be super-strong, its seems to rely more on its cunning and smarts to outwit its victims, some comparing its actions to be very 'human' like.

If I were to rewrite this episode into the a Scooby Doom Au, I would have Gym Leader Brycen replace the movie star character from the episode, though that dose leave the interesting story issue of how do I write Brycen and not have him just beat-up Infernape Man in hand-to-hand combat?

---

Anyway do you believe this is a man in a costume? or and angry Cryptid Pokemon, just wanting revenge on those who hurt it?

A) Cryptid Pokemon

B) Costumed Person/Pokemon
