DOWN WITH ORPHAN WORKS
DOWN WITH ORPHAN WORKS by @Minzoku (Julie Miyamoto)

U.S. COPYRIGHT LAW IS ABOUT TO CHANGE.

Please write to the Copyright Office and explain how this will affect YOU.

idk about y’all, but the proposed changes will basically kill any motivation I’ve had in ever creating anything worthwhile again, if it’s loads more work to not really prevent infringers from adjusting the contrast and making a completely “new” piece of work to use at no compensation to me [though if anyone steals the above image, whatever, it took like three seconds to make]

Late edit: Hoping this counterpoint is accurate. Either way, that "Orphan Works" is even an idea is crazy because, with the possible exception of photographs for historical value, how "important" is it to license a piece of artwork? There are SO MANY artists who would LOVE to make something COMPLETELY NEW for you (for a fair price!).
