Waipu monuments by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)
The foreground pillar commemorates Presbyterian settlers led by Reverend Norman McLeod, who established what became the modern town of Waipu in 1853 following Crown eviction of the local Patuharakeke Maori. The obelisk to the left is the town cenotaph.
