Ien Gaealo for Kuroiyousei by @Anke (Anke Wehner)

Another image drawn for Kuroiyousei at the Monthly Random Character Art Exchange - http://community.livejournal.com/mrcaex - I run at LJ, this time a normal round one.

Inked outlines, Copic marker colouring, and minor touchups (highlights on eyes and hair; edges of clouds) with white ink. On 160g/m² bristol paper.

I used light purples (Mauve Shadow and Pale Lilac) for shading on her skin and the light shirt and leggings, and dark blues (Lapislazuli and Prussian Blue) on the dark brown tunic, blending them in by drawing with the other colours over them.

As to the background, I first coloured it Pale Blue, then drew in the clouds with the colourless blender (added just a touch of white ink later on the top right edges), and the mountains with light shades of grey.
