It Don't Gitmo Better
It Don't Gitmo Better by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 12th submission to DYOS VI.

How long I waited to use that pun... How utterly I squandered it.

Here we're treated to the official title of my office. "Democratically-elected ultra-totalitarian" is such a lovely adjective... I should really use it more often.

The introduction of Vyacheslav Molotov as a recurring character served a dual purpose: one, as the nominal counterpart to the Empire Earth character Sergei Molotov who often appeared in the Styles brothers' comics; and two, as my answer to Georgy Kalanin, whose real-time revisions were an amusing shtick. Molotov wasn't redundant, though: while Georgy was more about hand-waving inconsistencies, Molotov became my primary Plot Synopsis Guy. Even though I was the copycat in this instance, I think Molotov became more popular than Georgy in the long run.

'Dead Guys' Hearse Ltd.' is a reference to one of the bajillion little ideas concocted when I was but a wee child. Strangely, the idea of ghosts driving a hearse tricked out à la Streets of SimCity is probably totally doable in DYOS.
