Scooby Doom: Ghost Clown Delphox

Next Scooby Doom villain the 'Ghost Clown' and icon villain from the show, which I have turned into a Delphox.

Okay this one was hard to pick as I had already done Hypno for the previous villain and I would like to try and avoid doubling up, so only one Pokemon per villain unless the design/lore works well for a Pokemon I've already drawn before.

So how did I end up choosing Delphox? well the villain main weapon is to hypnotize people with his gold coin, which again would have made more sense to be a Hypno. (I really should have gone through and decided ahead of time, but their are so many villains!)

Anyway so I looked up which Pokemon knew the move Hypnosis. Which is what brought Delphox and Malamar to my attention, I leaned towards Malamar as I thought its natural creepy design could maybe work for the clown, but I wasn't 100% happy with the idea as I honestly wanted to pick a ghost Pokemon for this. But the Ghost Pokemon I had that knew the move Hypnosis were Gengar, Spiritomb, Palsossand and Drifblim(Through breeding can learn the move) none of which I was 100% happy with, but I did try and draw a few sketches to see if that would change my mind, but none felt right to me. So then I went scrap it I'll just pick any ghost Pokemon and picked Mismagius, (I didn't want to use Blacephalon) but that didn't look right either to be the Ghost Clown.

So going back to the drawing board and thinking back to what this villain dose in the episode and how I wanted this guy to move about, I then was left with 2 idea's Malamar or Delphox (They can learn the move Hypnosis from breeding).

I went with Malamar, finished the drawing and was writing this up, when I decided to get a second opinion from my twin and they said Delphox would work better, I realized she was right, so quickly had to had to draw up the fox and change the upload image.

So yeah, other than trying to redesign the villain giving me issues which probably didn't help because I was having trouble trying to reimagine how this story would go in the Scooby Doom AU version? As the Ghost Clown Villain was trying to get people hurt/killed from the start!

The Villain goal is revenge against the circus after they had been sent to prison for stealing.

But then how did they get out of prison to have his revenge? Now my brain starts whirling and I find myself leaning to the idea that this guy has some how gotten himself turned into a Pokemon, maybe thanks to that mysterious villain organization I mentioned with the last Villain Puppet Master Hypno?

So now no longer human and with the powers of this Fire/Ghost Delphox variant, He can take revenge on the circus! But those meddling kids show up and stop him and now instead of going to people jail he's being sent to Pokemon jail instead!
