Flag of La Plata (Iron and Blood 7) by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

The Principality of La Plata was JohannaK's country in Iron & Blood 7, created primarily to showcase the flag originally made for Hesperia in the never-launched I&B5. The country itself was premised on a series of divergences circa the War of the Spanish Succession that saw Archduke Charles of Austria, historically Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, emerge as Bourbon king of Spain. Spanish American colonial holdings were reorganized, with La Plata established as a fortified way station to bypass Caribbean piracy; it was subsequently upgraded to a Principality and headquarters of the colonial military. Following the Napoleonic Wars and a mainland republican revolt, La Plata became a refuge for monarchist sympathizers as the Spanish empire disintegrated, with Charles Philip continuing to claim legitimacy over all former territories.
