A Side 7 exclusive! Te Aronui-a-Rua is an officially-consecrated meeting house on the grounds of Te Puia, opened in 1981. The commemorative plaque on the left bears a proverb reflecting the local chiefs' blessing of the Institute: E kore e ngaro te purapura i ruia mai i Rangiatea, "The seeds which were sown in Rangiatea will never be lost."

As part of the guided tour, it stages a cultural performance comprising the traditional Maori ceremonial greeting (seen here), moving inside for a waiata (song), mōteatea (chanted song/poem), the poi dance, and the iconic haka, the latter two featuring audience participation.
