Wowwww, it's been forever since I last uploaded here...

Bones! Bones, bones, bones! Xalan reallllllly likes drawing bones, it's always the best part of art classes! Even though Xalan's bones ALWAYS end up looking a bit too happy or demented Anyways, a quick sketch that turned into a full on project, one of the main characters from my project A Different Road, Empress Sabbha de Sali (Senile as she's more commonly known as), within the Wasteland. In order to proporly explain the Wasteland, I have to go into the main storyline of A Different Road, which I was saving for the cover page image, but eh, here it goes!

2047 A.D. The World is thrown into Chaos by a major Catalysum which almost competely destroys the Western Hemsphere, and shifts much of the the current land masses apart, cuasing major earthquakes, tusanmis, and volcanic eruptions. After the intial Catalysum, earthquakes countinue for ten years, fuarther devastating the earth. The remaining population, close to only 700,000 worldwide, bands together in small colonies along the only presently livable enviroments, along the coastlines and plains. Almost all major cities have been destroyed or buried, and little remains of modern culture. North American is competely inhabitable, and it is doubted that any still remain alive in South American, Asturalia, or along the islands. It is the most devistating blow humanity has ever faced, until another comes along to to find themsleves in the middle of a war.

2058 A.D The barrier seperating this world and the home of the demon races fualters, and five major clans spill forth into the devistated world, and with the arrival of their ancient enamies, the Dragons awake. Caught between a war of the Dragons and Demons, humans struggle to survive and look for a leader to band humanity together.

2060 A.D The House of de Terria arises from the ashes. An anceint Europen House with their roots sunk deeply into history, the head of the House bands his clan togther and begins the process of a way for humans to once more rise up and unite themselves in order to protect against extinction. A master of history, Salamon de Terria descovers that within history, the rise of tecnology spelled the fall of magic, and with the fall of tecnology, the rise of magic-like ablities within newly born infants. The two unable to exist side by side must make room for the strongest, and at this point in time, it is mystic power and not tecnology that will be able to save the human race. Remaining humans unite under Salamon de Terria's leadership, and begin to forge their own way in this world, and begin the long process of protecting themselves adaquitly from the battle bewteen the Demon Clans and the Dragons.

2100 A.D The Battle of the Demons and Dragons has resulted in a draw, both sides falling back to lick their wounds and human stepping forth to once again rebuild.

2150 A.C. The land mass of what was once Asia ands Europe has been name Saliand has formed into an Empire under the House of Terria's rule, who have taken their Empire's name as their own, the Impiral House de Sali. A treaty has been struck up with the dragons, who have agreed to stop their attacks ans preying on human, in return for acsess to their montain homes. The Barrier has once again been placed up again by mages just now coming into their own, and North America has been declared The Wasteland after several parties have attempted to joungry into the land and none have returned alive.

1. A.C. What was once India and the landmass of Africa have split away from the Empire of Sali`, and are now ruled under their own goverments. The School of Mages has been formed, and mage ablities in young children are common now. Humanity is finally back on their feet. Within their mountain labs and homes, the Dragons have relased from their sleep the few remaining members of the Elven race, as well as the Cenatars. Certain races have been kept slumbbering in wait of a better time. The five Demons clans in the world have been unable to break the Barrier and return to their own home, and have seeked answers and how to permently destroy the Barrier. Tensions are high between the Demons and Dragons. It has also been descovered by the human that Dragons are able to easily adapt a human-like form and slipt between their natural forms and humnish forms with great ease, cuasing humans fear that dragons may be able to take over human Empires and goverments.

2445 A.C. The young Empress Sabbha de Salinow rules the Empire, and is only one of two members of the ancient house still alive. Most member of the De Sali bloodline within the past 300 hunderd years have died at very young ages, few living longer than 30 years. Most have died due to sucicide. A War has begun brewing between the humans and demons, and in order to seal and alliance with the dragon race, the young Empress is betrothed to the Dragon lord Corvan Kamir, one of the most powerful dragons and beings on the Earth. The demon race has also finally found a way to break open the Barrier.....

Only a quick overveiw of the history behind a different road, I'll try to have the plotline up soon.
