Thorvald Oflym waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out
of the air. There were epilogues in the base. He didn't see them, but
had expected them now for years. His warnings to Robbert Kant were not
listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now,
anyway.
Thor was a GM for three years. When he was young he watched the IOTs and
he said to dad "I want to write the epilogues daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE TRAYED BY SCHEDULE"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he
stopped. But now in the space station base of the IOT he knew there were
epilogues.
"This is Robbert" the radio crackered. "You must find Beth's dad!"
So Thor gotted his banhammer and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO WRITE US" said the eiplogues "I will wangst at him" said
the patrioticfool and he metagamed MultiPolarity 2. Thor banhammred at
him and tried to blew him up. But then the game stopped and they were
trapped and not able to play.
"No! I must find Beth's dad" he shouted The radio said "No, Thor. You
are Beth's dad"
And then Thor was Norm Hadley.
IOT: Repercussions of Powergame by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)
A little vignette based on the shenanigans of Imperium Offtopicum, but more specifically ParsonNathaniel's clever sleuthing in the chatroom during the final few days of May. Despite my best efforts, her inductive logic exposed beyond a reasonable doubt my true identity of Norman Hadley.
Inspired, of course, by DOOM: Repercussions of Evil. The poetically-minded amongst you can get a fix at www.normanhadley.com. Just don't say who sent you. Because that'd be redundant. I'm Norm Hadley.
